Education Philosophy
We have an educational philosophy that centres on the child. This means every decision, every discussion, every implementation of teaching and learning starts with the question, ‘What is best for the students?’ We are not constrained by the past to one specific education philosophy that was best practise 100 years ago, nor are we tied down by past or current policies made by decision makers not specifically trained in education. Further, we are not constrained as some education providers who may be required to invest considerable energies into maintaining public perception (the need to look good). As a truly independent school we have the freedom and agility to implement changes quickly and efficiently (for the good of the students).
We support our students, parents and teachers so that we engender a strong sense of community and family. The saying ‘it takes a village to raise a child’ is so vitally important and this is at the forefront of our thinking as we build a school community that can work together for the benefit of the students.
